Year | Builder | Opus | Activity | 1914 | Klais Orgelbau | 530 | new organ | ca. 1945 | Julius Reimsbach | restoration |
- In the years 1910-1913 a new church was built in Dillingen in neo-Romanesque style, designed by Peter Marx. This church soon got the nickname 'Saardom'. The Klais firm built a three-manual organ for the church with 44 stops in 1913-1914. It was set up in the gallery on the west side of the church around the rose window.
- The Schwellwerk, in particular, was damaged during the Second World War. After 1945 the organ was provisionally restored by Julius Reimsbach. From 1974 an electronic organ was used in the church, because the large Klais organ was no longer playable. Plans for restoration were never carried out. Ultimately, the organ was demolished in 1995 and replaced by the 1955 Klais organ from the Gürzenich hall in Cologne.
