The firm of Schlag & Söhne built a new organ for the Stadtkirche in Glückstadt in 1880-1881. The historic organ of Huess/Schnitger from 1665/1687 was demolished, but the organ cases were stored in the attic of the church. These were set up in 1940 in the church of Burg auf Fehmarn. The new organ was dedicated on September 20, 1881. It was renovated several times over time. In 1953 Rudolf von Beckerath carried out a restoration. In the end it was decided to replace the instrument with a completely new organ. It was demolished in 1962.
