Year | Builder | Opus | Activity | 1761 | Johann Friedrich Rhode | new organ | 1912 | Eduard Wittek | new organ in old case | 2020 | Guido Schumacher | new organ |
- In 1760-1761 Johann Friedrich Rhode built a new organ for Kirche Sankt Johann in Danzig, now Kościół św. Jana, as second organ. It was also called the 'little organ'. The instrument had two manuals and pedal and thirty stops. In 1912 the organ was replaced by a pneumatic organ with seventeen stops, built by the Wittek firm in the Rhode organ cases. The organ was lost to fire in 1945. Parts of the decorations of the case have been preserved.
- The organ was reconstructed by the Schumacher company in the years 2018-2020 on the basis of old drawings and photos, and work by, among others, Andreas Hildebrandt, teacher of Johann Friedrich Rhode. The instrument was put into use on 6 March 2020. The specification has been taken from the book 'Musica mechanica organoedi' by Jakob Adlung from 1768.
