Saint Andrew's Church in Dublin is gebouwd in de jaren 1832-1843. De kerk is gebouwd in classicistische stijl. Het orgel werd in de jaren 1869-1871 gebouwd door John White. Het pijpwerk betrok White grotendeels van de firma Cavaillé-Coll, waarmee het orgel het enige in Ierland is met pijpwerk van deze bouwer. Er zijn ongeveer 600 pijpen van Cavaillé-Coll in het instrument bewaard gebleven. Op 23 maart 1871 is het ingewijd, ter gelegenheid waarvan William Thomas Best was uitgenodigd het orgel te bespelen.
In de loop van de tijd is het orgel gewijzigd, onder andere bij een restauratie door Rushworth & Dreaper in 1976. Er zijn plannen voor een reconstructie naar de oorspronkelijke staat.
