The neo-gothic St. Gaugericus Church in Pamel was built in 1903 to a design by Jules Goethals. The church building replaced an old church that had collapsed in 1878. In this church there was an organ by Van Peteghem. For the new church, a new organ was built in 1936 by the company Gebr. Reygaert. The instrument was dedicated on August 30, 1936. The inauguration concert was given by Arthur Verhoeven and Omer Van Puyvelde.
