- Vikingstads Kyrka was completed in 1785. Pehr Schiörlin built an organ with two manuals and an attached pedal for the new church. In 1788 he placed a Trumpet 8' on the Öververk. It is possible that in that year he also modified the Scharf from three into two ranks. In 1802 he worked on the organ again. Now a Fluttune 16' (treble) was placed on the main work, and a Flagfleut 8' (treble) on the upper, instead of the treble of the Gedacktfleut 4'.
- In 1831 Anders Jonsson worked on the organ, modifying the disposition. Changes followed in 1909 (by E. Gustafsson) and 1943 (by John Vesterlund). In 1970 the organ was restored by Richard Jacoby and brought back to the condition of 1802. An independent pedal with five stops was installed in addition. The consultant for the work was Jan Håkan Åberg from Linköping.
