In 1975 the city of Düsseldorf donated an organ to the St. Matthäuskirche in Garath with eight stops. This organ was replaced in 1989 by a new organ from Albert Fabritius, which was dedicated on November 19, 1989. Already in 1982, the project to realize this instrument had started.
