2003 Peter Ohlert  new organ

  • In 1952 Hugo Mayer built a new organ for the Protestant Church in Breitfurt near Blieskastel. It replaced a 1929 Hock organ, which had been badly damaged in World War II. The new organ had five manual stops and a Dulzian on the pedal.
  • It was replaced in 2003 by a new instrument by Peter Ohlert, who reused Mayer's front and pipework. This new organ was inaugurated on August 10, 2003 with a concert by Gero Kaleschke, consultant during the work.
