2007 Lapon Orgelbouw  restoration and enlargement

  • The Gothic-Revival style Saint Willibrordus Church in Knesselare was consecrated in 1896. On July 24, 1898, an organ was dedicated, built by the company Gebr. Vereecken. The organ has an organ case in the same style as the church, which was probably made by the Blanchart company.
  • In 2006/2007 the organ was completely restored by the Lapon company under the advice of Gabriël Loncke. During the restoration, two pedal towers were added in style, so that an independent pedal of four ranks could be added. These stops were also included in Vereecken's original design. The organ was put back into use on June 17, 2007.
