- The current Trinity Church in Reichenbach was inaugurated after a major renovation and expansion of the old church building in the years 1896-1898. It was put into use on March 21, 1898. Emil Müller built a new two-manual organ with pneumatic action for the church. This instrument was inspected on March 13, 1898 by Friedrich Schnackenberg from Plauen. The front is a design by Karl Neuberger in collaboration with the organ builder. The old organ, built by Trampeli in 1782, was demolished.
- Müller's work was apparently not satisfying, because in 1912 it was decommissioned on the advice of several organ makers. The Jehmlich company was commissioned to rebuild and expand it into a real concert organ. Karl Straube was hired as consultant. The new organ had 30 registers, electro-pneumatic action and cone chests. Only a few ranks were taken over from Müller, as was the organ case. On March 15, 1913, Karl Straube positively approved the organ.
- The front pipes were requisitioned in 1917 and later replaced by zinc pipes. Bombings on March 21, 1945 caused a lot of dirt, causing the organ to no longer function. Jehmlich restored it in 1949, after which it was put back into service on November 6, 1949. However, the instrument was no longer sufficient, and in 1963 the Eule company was commissioned to build a new organ behind the old facade. Construction took a long time, and it was not until December 18, 1970 that the organ could be put into use with a concert by Hans Otto, cantor-organist of the cathedral in Freiberg. The Schwellwerk was installed later, in the spring of 1971. Some wooden pipework by Müller is still present.
