The Monastery of the Fathers of the Blessed Sacrament (Église du Très Saint Sacrement)) in Ixelles near Brussels was founded in 1889. On October 29, 1906, Adolphe Locher and Alphonse Mailly inaugurated the new organ of the Fathers Church. The instrument was built by Friedrich Goll for an exhibition in the Cinquantenaire. The initiative for the purchase was taken by Adolphe Locher. Originally, the solo manual was set apart from the organ on the choir of the church. This was placed in the organ in 1939. The organ was also overhauled on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the monastery, which was celebrated with a festive mass on September 19, 1939, where Jean-Marie Plum played the restored organ. The work was carried out by Romy Casteels. Around 1975 the Gamba 8' of the Grand Orgue was replaced by a Doublette 2'. In 1992 a large number of pipes were removed from the organ to restore the church's choir organ. The organ is in need of restoration.
