- In 1708 a new organ was built for the church of Gelting by an unknown builder. It was renovated by Johann Hinrichsen Angel in 1794 and moved to a gallery above the altar. The Marcussen company built a new organ behind the prospect in 1904 with twenty stops.
- This interior was replaced in 1976 by the current instrument, a work by Klaus Becker from Kupfermühle. A lot of the Marcussen material has been reused during construction.
- In 2007, the organ was reconstructed by Heintz Orgelbau in collaboration with Michael Becker to Marcussen's disposition of 1904. Michael Mages was consultant during the project.
