- Alois Thunus built a new organ for the Sankt Peterskirche in Steffeshausen in 1969. The instrument was dedicated on August 3rd, 1969, with a concert by Johan Piette. Most of the pipework was not new. Already three years later, the organ has been modified by Ernst Kühn under the direction of Paul Schoonbroodt. He modified the Rohrflöte 8' into a Großgedackt, added a Nachthorn 2', expanded the Sesquialtera with one octave (c°-b°) and replaced the Trompette with a new Cymbale. On the pedal, the Pommer 4' was replaced with a Gedacktbass 8'.
- In 1984, the organ has been overhauled by the company Josef Weimbs, again with Paul Schoonbroodt as consultant. The Oktave 2' of the Positiv was renewed at this occasion.
