- The organ in the Sint Laurentius Church in Zedelgem was built in 1743. The maker of the organ is unknown, the year of construction is stated in a cartouche in the front. The attribution of the organ to Pieter Van Peteghem by some authors is incorrect, and it is also incorrect that the organ was transferred to Zedelgem from the Sint Jacobskerk in Bruges. The instrument was donated to the church in Zedelgem in 1743 by pastor Joannes Ketels. In the literature, A.J. Berger is sometimes mentioned as the maker of the organ, but this fact is also doubted.
- Andries Berger was the organ builder who moved the instrument to a new rood screen in 1761. In 1802 the organ was overhauled and tuned by J.B. Halle, and the bellows were also repaired. The organ was converted in 1867 by Louis Benoit Hooghuys. A last restoration has been carried out in 1962 by the company Loncke. The stop list has been modified over time: the Salicional was placed by Hooghuys, the Clairon and Kromhoorn are in style of Van Peteghem, possibly placed in 1836. The Vulwerk (Fourniture) was placed by Loncke, and stands on the spot of a Trumpet 8'. The windchest is by Hooghuys.
