- In 1843 the medieval church of Nederweert was replaced by the current one, while retaining the old tower. In 1851 a new organ was built for this church by Arnold Clerinx. It had 26 stops on two manuals and pedal. P.J. Vermeulen renewed the wind system in 1914, and replaced the Cornet 3 ranks (discant) of the Rugpositief with a Voix Céleste 8' (discant). Until 1944, the organ was furthermore preserved without modifications.
- In that year, the church was severely damaged by shellfire. The Rugpositief in the gallery was almost completely destroyed, and the pipework of the pedal was lost. Much of the pipework of the Hoofdwerk was also damaged.
- The instrument was restored by Vermeulen from Weert in the years 1955-1956. Much of the pipework was newly manufactured (15 out of 26 stops). including the reeds of the Hoofdwerk, as were the key and stop action and wind supply. Consultants during the work were dr. P.J. de Bruyn and Hub. Houët. On April 1, 1956, the organ was dedicated again. It was played by Harrie Caris and Hub. Houét.
- The company Vermeulen overhauled the Hoofdwerk in 1985. In 1998, maintenance was carried out by Flentrop Orgelbouw to the Rugwerk and Pedal.
- On 6 May 2019, the organ was disassembled and transferred to the workshop of the Van Rossum company for a general restoration. The restoration was completed on July 31, 2020. The main case have been returned to its original position. The organ received a new wind facility (four wedge bellows), a new keyboard and new key action. The original stop list has been restored using Clerinx pipework from elsewhere. The reeds of the Rugpositief and pedal are new, as is the Violoncelle 8'. The 1956 Clairon was retained in a modified form.
